The City of Wichita Falls, Texas has recently launched a brand new mobile app for smartphone users. The app is designed to help citizens communicate with the City of Wichita Falls on a wide range of issues and services.

“The City recognizes the importance and need to utilize the latest technology to enhance our communication efforts with the public,” said City Manager Darron Leiker. Using the new app, Access Wichita Falls, citizens can point, click and submit feedback and requests to City staff, from any location at any time of the day or night,” said Leiker.

The City of Wichita Falls has a service called Report a Concern, located on the City’s website, for residents and visitors to report a problem, ask questions or provide feedback on any issue or service related to the City.

The new mobile app enhances this process by enabling citizens to immediately provide information about a real time problem such as a water main break, to report a Code Violation (as they encounter a location) such as tall grass, to report a loose animal or ask questions or provide feedback immediately rather than having to wait until they are able to access a computer connected to the internet.

“In addition to allowing citizens easier access to City staff, the app will increase our efficiency as citizens report activity in real time, thereby allowing us to respond faster,” said Leiker. “We invite everyone with a smartphone to download the app and let us know what they see, hear or are curious about,” concluded Leiker.

The new app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Android /Google Play.
