When you think of a cuddly pet, you don't usually think of a chicken. Apparently you should though. It was quite a shock to me when I saw the video above. Who knew that a chicken could be affectionate? I figured it had to just be the one weird chicken in the world that did this. Well, I was wrong...

Upon looking further into it, I found a whole lot of chicken cuddling videos. Here's one with another chicken getting all cozy with a little kid.

Now, I know someone out there is going to say, "Drew, you've just never had chickens. They are all like this!" Listen. I'm really happy for you, and I'm going to let you finish, but I had chickens when I was a kid. I also had ducks and geese (which are the meanest birds in the world by the way) and even helped my dad build the chicken coop. Never in my years of chicken ownership did I get any indication that they could become, for all intents and purposes,  an egg laying kitten? No! They just usually made a lot of noise and ran away when you tried to get near them. I assumed they were just rage filled and feather covered like all other birds.

I must admit. My mind is blown. If you want to see more chicken cuddling, here's a couple more videos. Just be careful if you try to search for them online yourself cause you might end up somewhere weird. In the meantime, I'm going to keep cuddling chicken the way I always have...through my digestive track. (That means I'm going to go eat fried chicken...get it)
