I had a thought the other day while standing in the grocery store line looking at all the candy. Halloween is tomorrow and it's making me think about how I viewed Halloween through the years.

I then got to thinking about posts I have seen on Facebook lately regarding people not allowing kids to dress up on Halloween due to certain beliefs. I do respect all beliefs and don't agree with inappropriate costumes, but seriously?

I know the "history" of the celebration etc. but isn't it all a mindset anyway? Why do we have to analyze the WHY on Halloween? There is enough negative serious things to take our serious thought process in the world. Why should we do that on a day we can choose to have fun? There is no "Y" in Halloween LOL! So, take it for what it is, for what the majority see it as, a fun excuse to dress up and get free candy! Just that. Beliefs are mindsets. Since there are so many others to analyze in this world, can't we simplify some?

Off to have a tempting candy bar sitting on my desk..

Have a safe and Happy Halloween! Can't wait to see the kids in costume XXOO ;-)
