Alan Jackson was having a “Good Time” on this date in 2008, Kenny Chesney was in a Thanksgiving mood in 2005, Travis Tritt was happy to be a member of the “Country Club” in 1991 and more.

  • Alan Jackson‘s Good Time album went gold in 2008.
  • Rodney Atkins received a diploma from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville in 2007, 14 years after he stopped taking classes. School officials discovered he’d racked up enough hours of credit to qualify for a newly created degree.
  • Kenny Chesney performed at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field in 2005. The performance was shot for inclusion in an ABC Thanksgiving special, Kenny Chesney: Somewhere In The Sun.
  • Martina McBride‘s “My Baby Loves Me” charted in 1993.
  • Travis Tritt‘s Country Club album was certified platinum in 1991.
  • Alabama became the first country act to go quadruple-platinum, as the Mountain Music and Feels So Right albums were certified for shipments of four million copies in 1985.
  • Johnny Cash recorded the Number One single, “Daddy Sang Bass,” in 1968.
