Top Five Qualities That Make a ‘Real Man’
What makes someone a real man? Apparently a thick mustache, an ample paunch, and unwillingness to help clean the house don't make the cut. Who knew?
A new survey asked both men and women to name the top qualities of a "real man." Here are the top five.
1. Investigating strange noises in the house at night.
2. Offering to carry a woman's bags.
3. Handling the barbecue.
4. Changing a tire.
5. Dealing with spiders.
OK, those things are all great skills and qualities for a man to have, but what about being a good husband, father and friend? A real man knows the importance of family, makes decisions and deals with the consequences. He accepts responsibility for his actions and words. A real man is focused and knows what's important and what isn't.
That's what a real man is. Among many other things.
The survey also found that one out of three men DON'T consider themselves traditionally masculine.
70% of the men surveyed say they aren't afraid to show their feminine side. And of that group, 30% say they like bubble baths and baking, and 10% like pedicures and manicures.
