Toby Keith Lays Down The Law, Carrie Underwood Sings Anthem – Today In Country Music History [VIDEO]

Carrie Underwood sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on this date in 2010, Toby Keith layed down the law at one of his concerts in 2009, Alan Jackson remembered in 2004 and Patsy Cline recorded the final session of her career in 1963.

  • Toby Keith went into the audience at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center in Pikeville to confront a concert-goer who threw a beer at the stage in 2009. The attendee was ultimately evicted from the concert.
  • Toby Keith was the celebrity monarch and Sawyer Brown the grand marshal in the Krewe of Orpheus Mardi Gras parade, in New Orleans in 2005.
  • Alan Jackson‘s “Remember When” claimed the Number One position in Billboard in 2004.
  • Lonestar drummer Keech Rainwater proposed to Elissa Lansdell, an employee of CMT Canada, in 2004.
  • Shania Twain‘s The Woman In Me album was released in 1995.
  • Patsy Cline had what proved to be the last recording session of her career at Nashville’s Columbia Recording Studio in 1963.
