Keith is one of a number of country artists who will be performing at Inauguration Weekend (Jan. 19-22) events. Country artists including Big & RichDarryl Worley and more are booked to perform at inaugural balls, held by various political organizations throughout the weekend of the inauguration, and Lee Greenwood and, collectively, Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas), Lonestar‘s Richie McDonald and Restless Heart‘s Larry Stewart were also booked for the Welcome Celebration.

“I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military,” Keith says in response to those criticizing his decision to perform for President-elect Trump. “I performed at events for previous presidents [George W.] Bush and [Barack] Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO.”

Keith has many well-known songs with a strong sense of national pride at their core. He is a dedicated supporter of the U.S. military, and wrote “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” in response to the terrorists attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
