For the first time in 27 years, the Beach Boys are making a return to Wichita Falls, TX. The iconic American rock and roll band will be playing at Memorial Auditorium on October 13th at 7:30pm. Here's the official press release from the Wichita Falls Convention & Visitors Bureau:

THE BEACH BOYS, one of America's greatest rock bands, are set to play Memorial Auditorium on Tuesday, October 13!

This will be the first Beach Boys show in Wichita Falls since 1988. Showtime will be 7 30 pm.

Formed in Hawthorne, California in suburban Los Angeles in 1961 by brothers Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine, their songs about surfing, cars and romance led to 36 Top 40 singles. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, and have sold over 100 million records worldwide. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked them Number 12 in their listing of Greatest Rock Bands of All Time.

Singles included "I Get Around", "Fun Fun Fun", "Surfin' USA", "Be True To Your School", "Little Surfer Girl", "Sloop John B", "Little Deuce Coupe", 'When I Grow Up To Be A Man", "Don't Worry Baby", "409", "Wendy", "Barbara Ann”, “Wouldn’t It Be Nice", "God Only Knows", "Caroline, No", "Sail On Sailor" and "Kokomo".

Lead singer, songwriter, band leader Mike Love is joined on tour by keyboard player / singer Bruce Johnston, who joined the band in 1964. Dennis Wilson drowned in Los Angeles in 1983, and Carl Wilson died of cancer in 1998. Brian Wilson tours only rarely. Brian and The Beach Boys are the subjects of a highly regarded new movie starring John Cusack "Love And Mercy", which was released in June 2015.
