Students at a Houston-area high school are facing disciplinary actions after giving a Nazi salute and yelling "Heil Hitler" and "Heil Trump" during a class photo.

Students gathered at Cypress Ranch High School, 30 miles outside of Houston, for their class photo. After posing for a normal group photo, students were instructed to pose for a goofy photo, at which point around 70 students reportedly started doing a Nazi salute and shoute "Heil Hitler" and "Heil Trump". An anonymous student provided KPRC with photos of the incident, calling it "pretty terrifying."

The Dallas Morning News reports that Principal Bob Hull sent a letter home to parents explaining the situation, that photos of the incident had already been shared on social media, and that an investigation would take place and responsible students would be punished according to the school's code of conduct. Hull also asked parents to speak to their children about posting images and videos to social media that misrepresent the school,

We ask that you talk to your students regarding the posting and sharing of negative social media as this perpetuates a false image of Cy Ranch HS. We appreciate your partnership and support.
