With all of the scrutiny at airports since 9/11, you'd think that people would remember flying rule number one, no guns!

Dallas police confirmed that 51-year-old Shemane Nugent was taken into custody Thursday at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport when a handgun was discovered in her carry-on luggage at the security check point.  Shemane, who has a concealed handgun license, said that she's been regularly carrying a gun after receiving threats and forgot the gun was in her bag.  According to Nugent's attorney David Finn, Nugent is embarrassed by the incident and has apologized for causing an inconvenience at the airport.  It is likely that Nugent will not face any legal action past a $2,000 fine.

According to the Dallas Morning News, DFW has found over 50 guns in luggage during the first half of 2013.
