Pop star Kelly Clarkson found herself in hot water with many of her fans when she shared her support for Presidential candidate Ron Paul via her Twitter page, but thankfully for her, it was Blake Shelton to the rescue. The ‘Honey Bee’ hitmaker swooped in to say that he loves to hear Clarkson’s point of view and would even give someone a good smack if needed.
It feels like only yesterday that Blake Shelton‘s charge Dia Frampton was the runner up on the debut season of ‘The Voice.’ Well, season two is upon us, and Shelton is already raring to go and plotting his methods for another round. Shelton revealed that he will retain last season’s strategy of picking the singers with the most unique and different voices for his team. Obviously, Shelton has no interest in cultivating a poker face during the audition round.
Blake Shelton got a glimmer of good news yesterday after a heavy week. His father, Dick Shelton, who was taken to the hospital for pneumonia on Dec. 5, could be released as soon as Friday. The ‘God Gave Me You’ hitmaker breathed a virtual sigh of relief when he announced the potential news to his Twitter followers, saying, “Thank you all for the prayers for my dad… Hoping he gets to go home Friday.”
Blake Shelton was a multiple award winner during the 2011 American Country Awards, live from Las Vegas. Shelton’s video for ‘Who Are You When I’m Not Looking’ locked in the win for both Music Video of the Year and Music Video of the Year by a Male Artist.
Miranda Lambert giggled, Blake Shelton grinned, and the most famous newlyweds in Nashville said they can’t believe they won Female and Male Vocalist of the Year awards from the CMA for the second consecutive year.
The 2011 American Country Awards on Fox is quickly becoming another must watch live television broadcast. Top country talents like Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies and Trace Adkins are on the early list of performers. With over a month to go before the Dec. 5 ceremony, more names are sure to be announced.
The first season of ‘The Voice’ is long behind us, but Blake Shelton‘s work isn’t done. The ‘Honey Bee’ hitmaker has apparently been hard at work in the studio with last season’s runner-up, Dia Frampton, recording a duet that she spilled is called ‘I Will.’
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been in the studio recently recording a duet for Miranda's new album. The song is called "Better In The Long Run", and was written by Ashley Monroe (Miranda's pal from the Pistol Annies), Charles Kelley (of Lady Antebellum) and Gordie Sampson (writer of Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take The Wheel").
When they got married earlier this year, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert joined the grand country music tradition of couples who have shared a home as well as a microphone. Naturally, there’s been a lot of speculation about when they’ll get around to recording together again — something they acknowledged when they announced they’d be co-producing their friend Neal McCoy’s new album.
