A new study done in the UK is showing what women have thought all along – men take longer to get ready than women.

The study was done using 5,000 adults, and it shows that men spend around 81 minutes getting ready where women spend just 75 minutes. It goes on to show that men spend 23 minutes in the shower but women are in there for 22 minutes.

Here’s the breakdown of where we’re spending our time grooming:

Shaving: Men spend 18 minutes, but women only spend 14 minutes cleaning up that unwanted hair.

Cleansing and moisturizing: Men are scrubbing up for 10 minutes compared to women’s 9 minutes.

Picking out an outfit: 13 minutes for men and just 10 minutes for women.

I’m loving this survey. The problem, however, is that it doesn’t say anything about women and their make-up. While I can shower, paint my face, pick out an outfit, do my hair, and be out the door in under an hour, there are those women who absolutely take a lifetime to get ready. So while I believe the results of the survey, I’m leery about them because I can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes on my eyes alone.

Either way, us women have bragging rights. You men can go back to picking out your outfit.
