Stephen Colbert took some time to share Charlie Daniels' recent commercial for the NRA on a recent episode of the Late Show. All in good spirits, Colbert poked fun at the singer and fiddle player's latest commercial while giving a sneak preview of what could be the next segment for the country legend.

In the clip, Daniels has a message "to the ayatollahs of Iran and every terrorist you enable," and he goes on to name drop the strongest types of Americans, to which Colbert later jokes, "those are all reality shows." Soon after, he shows images from Alaskan Steel Men, Gold Rush and Swamp People to prove his point as the audience laughs in approval.

"Charlie, you gotta ease up on the rest of us. Not everyone can have a tough, manly job like playing the violin," he adds. "It turns out, this is just the first in a series of ads Charlie's doing for the NRA. We here at the Late Show were fortunate enough to get an advanced copy of the next one."

And with that, a Daniels look-alike played by Colbert himself further exaggerates Daniels' points.

"Your time is over. Shut your pie holes and listen up," he said, donning a cowboy hat and fake white beard.

"You aint' never met America 'cause you'd remember if you met her. She's hot," the host deadpans. "You haven't met our American pickers, ice road truckers, swamp loggers, big foot hunters, pawn stars and the cupcake warriors. I know for a fact you haven't met the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Those b----es would scratch your eyes out!"

Meanwhile, clips of all the aforementioned reality shows are shown onscreen before Colbert's stern conclusion.

"No, you've never been formerly introduced to the U.S. of A. and you oughtta pray you never do."

The good-natured spoof had the audience laughing along, but make no mistake, Colbert is actually a fan of country music. The late night host previously helped Toby Keith sing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and even inducted Keith into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
