Street flooding has long been an issue along McNeil Avenue in Wichita Falls.  Last August, the City of Wichita Falls and TxDOT began a joint project to improve drainage in the area.  Some of the payoff from that project was evident during May's record-setting rains.

Today, the City announced that the intersection is being re-opened today to local traffic only.  A portion of the $6.5 million price tag has been picked up by TxDOT.  The remainder of the project should be finished by the end of the year.
