My cats don’t behave like typical cats. Most people envision a cat as being standoffish, aloof, and having an I-don’t-care attitude. Mine, on the other hand, come to greet me when I get home, generally come when they’re called, and become the center of attention when we have guests over because they don’t hide. Not all cats are like that, we’re just lucky that ours are very sociable. Some pets don’t get the opportunity to be sociable because they haven’t found the right home yet, and that’s where you come in.

The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for a lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.

May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.

Rolo

Rolo is a small, male, Shepherd mix puppy. At only about five or six months old, he has a lot to explore and a lot to learn, but he’s having a lot of fun doing it! He loves playing, other pets, and taking a nice nap here and there. He’s also ready to greet you when you come home from a long day and you know he’ll be happy to see you. He’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Rolo may be young, but he’s a lot of fun and can’t wait to explore the world with you. Stop by to meet him and see if your home is his forever home!

Bach

Bach is a young, male, medium sized cat. He’s around six months old and loves exploring new environments and meeting new people. He still has lots of energy since he’s young, but he’ll crash hard for a good nap. Then he’s ready to go once again, on the hunt for fun and shiny things. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots and heartworm tested and on preventative. Bach would love to have a permanent place to call his own and would make a great addition to your family. Stop by to introduce yourself!
