• Reba McEntire was toasted with a surprise 50th birthday party at a club inside Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center in 2005. She was serenaded by Ronnie Dunn, Steve Wariner, Vince Gill and Terri Clark with a band assembled by producer Tony Brown.

• Carolyn Dawn Johnson married Matt Fisher in Banff, Alberta in 2003.

• The O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack went platinum in 2001. Produced by T Bone Burnett, it featured Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley, The Soggy Bottom Boys, Alison Krauss, Harry McClintock, Gillian Welch, John Hartford and The Cox Family.
