Shania Twain was Up! at the top of the charts on this date in 2002, Reba McEntire was happy to have a Broken Heart in 1991 and Jim Reeves said He’ll Have To Go way back in 1959.

    • Alan Jackson‘s “Little Bitty,” written by Tom T. Hall, hit Number One in 1996.
    • Reba McEntire reached the top of Billboard‘s country chart with “For My Broken Heart” in 1991.
    • Johnny Cash and June Carter first appeared onstage together, in Dallas in 1961.
    • Jim Reeves‘s RCA single of “He’ll Have To Go” charted in 1959.
