What’s more important: Having a natural birth or attending a Rascal Flatts concert? For one country music fan, the choice was an easy one. A hometown Flatts show superseded her desire to give birth naturally, and she opted for a carefully scheduled C-section.

“There’s one lady that scheduled a C-section around our tour date,” frontman Gary LeVox revealed, according to the band’s label, Big Machine Records. “She actually wasn’t even gonna plan a C-section. She was just going to give natural birth but saw that she wasn’t going to make it [to the concert], so she scheduled a C-section so she’d make sure she could make it to the show.”

While planning an exact time to experience the miracle of life is likely the craziest thing a fan has done for Rascal Flatts, LeVox says that the trio regularly gets asked to autograph babies. Yes, really. LeVox commented, “Yeah. Just signing children is kinda weird,” while Joe Don Rooney added that writing on a tot is “unsafe.”

LeVox added, “We didn’t do it, but we were asked.”

If nothing else, the band has one thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving: really dedicated fans. Rascal Flatts will head out on the road for more baby signing requests (or not) starting in January.
