Rascal Flatts presented a CMA Foundation grant of $150,000 to the non-profit Little Kids Rock during a recent trip to Miramonte Elementary School in Los Angeles.

During the band's visit, members Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney also played music with the children and surprised them with new musical instruments. It was an unforgettable day for the students at Miramonte Elementary School, who were excited about the opportunity to play with and learn from the talented musicians.

Little Kids Rock is a national music education non-profit group that provides free music lessons and instruments to children in under-served or underprivileged schools. Since 2002, the non-profit has served more than 325,000 children in over 1,3000 public schools across the country. Little Kids Rock provides educational resources, instruments and lessons to school districts that might otherwise not be able to afford a music program.

Rascal Flatts are prime supporters of the nationwide charity. Their hope is that Little Kids Rock will enable underprivileged children to have greater access to musical instruments and education.

"With all three of us having children ourselves, organizations like Little Kids Rock really resonate with us,” Joe Don Rooney says in a press release. “To be able to give back to young music makers and to do it with our friends at the CMA Foundation is really humbling and the best part of what we do.” Rascal Flatt's newest single, "Riot," is now available for download.
