Pudding Pop and Domino – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
I saw the balance of power shift in my house this week. My cat, who was always the alpha cat before my husband and I got married and moved in together, must have decided that she was going to take back the reigns of leadership. Though the cats have known each other for years, she’s been more on the timid side around the other one, until I watched her hover over the other cat as she was eating some kitty treats. See, my cat had finished hers but wanted more, and the other cat glared at mine before deciding it wasn’t worth the fight and abandoned the treats. I sat in awe watching the transaction take place. Some pets don’t have their own place where they can be the alpha, and that’s where you come in.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Pudding Pop is still a young pup, and is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix. Because of her age, she loves to run and play, but crashes just as hard as she plays. She loves exploring new things and meeting new people, and has a sweet temperament. She’s up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Pudding Pop loves taking walks and playing fetch, and would love to show you her skills in catching a ball. Stop by to see her and see if she’s a great fit for your family!
Domino is a medium sized young adult male cat. As you can see from the photo, his coloring gives him his name. Like most cats, he loves hanging out with people, getting scratches behind the ear, and chasing after anything shiny. He’s not too bashful and likes to be sociable with people, and would make a great addition to your home. He’s neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm tested and on preventative, and microchipped. Domino wants to find his forever home, and yours could be it! Swing by to meet him today!
