The Basement, a bar in Orlando, Florida, is not happy about the University of Central Florida's 0-4 start to this year's college football season. The bar is used to being packed during UCF games, but last week had only 50 people there to watch as the Knights lost to South Carolina.

The owners decided they needed to do something to bring the people in to watch the games. That's when they came up with what will either be the best or worst marketing idea ever. Free beer!

That's right, The Basement will be giving away free beer starting this weekend until UCF wins a game. They say they will start pouring the free domestic lager from kickoff until the final whistle of every single game until the team stops losing. They are also planning to have a packed house, and may even open up the upstairs club for the overflow.

They say that they hope to not lose money on the promotion because people watching the games will still pay for premium alcohol and food.

It's yet to be determined how the promotion will affect the team, but if you are a fan of free beer, you have to assume you are hoping they keep losing. So far, the free beer has definitely gotten the Basement some free promotion. Check out the video below of the guys on ESPN talking about it.
