Shania Twain fans are breathing a sigh of relief this week as the iconic country artist announced she will, in fact, be releasing new music soon, despite her Farewell Tour.

The singer recently accepted the CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award and while on the red carpet, revealed to Rolling Stone Country that new tunes are on the horizon.

"I have new music coming out really soon, and I'm very excited about it. There will be a new musical chapter,” she shared.

This enthusiasm spilled into her acceptance speech at the ceremony as well, during which she gushed about the opportunity and her love for her career.

"I don't want to get off the stage right now because I'm loving this moment," she said. "I love music, and I hope that it carries on for many more years in my life."

Twain also reflected on her career in light of the honor she received.

"I'm a songwriter, a performer, an entertainer, a singer, and I guess collectively a huge pile of hard work has gone into it all over so many years,” she said. "I started professionally 44 years ago. Almost my entire life has been as a professional artist in one capacity or the other. I feel like I've lived three lifetimes."

The award was presented to Twain by fellow honoree Carrie Underwood, and Kelsea Ballerini teamed up with R&B singer Jill Scott and pop artist Meghan Trainor to perform a medley of her hits.

"I think more than anything she was so fearlessly herself and did it through fashion, through her heart and through her music,” Ballerini said. "Every girl wants to be Shania Twain."
