New Fragrance Line Based On Blood Scents
As humans, we’re always looking for new ways to attract a mate. One of those ways is to find the perfect scent that suits us. Perhaps it’s a body wash or a spray, any oftentimes it’s perfume or cologne.
A duo of Italians has come up with the next new scent – Blood Concept.
If that name seems a little off-putting, it could be because most of us don’t associate our choice of fragrance with blood. This one does, with scents based on the four human blood types: A, B, AB, and O.
“Blood Concept is just a celebration of human life through an interpretation of its evolutionary process,” Zuddas told AOL News. “To be more accurate, it’s an interpretation of the evolution of our most important element, the blood in our veins.”
While the Milan-based designers concede that Blood Concept may make some squeamish, they maintain that their perfumes have nothing to do with blood lust.
If you’re like me, you may think this is an odd choice for a fragrance line. Yet some who are hearing about it are really stoked to try out the line.
Merticus, a 32-year-old Atlanta man who self-identifies as a vampire, intends to sample the fragrance line.
A founding member of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance and Vampire Community News, Merticus favors O-positive as his drink of choice. As for which scent he’d prefer to wear — or detect on a donor — he’s keeping an open mind.
“I find the black cherry, pomegranate and patchouli infusions of B and the raspberry, rose hips, and birch infusions of O equally intriguing,” Merticus said via e-mail. “Hopefully I’ll be able to sample them in the flesh soon.”
Here’s what I don’t get. Throughout the course of the article that I found, there are references to vampires liking the scents. They write about vampires buying the scents. They write about vampires preferring one blood-type scent to another.
Did they every stop to remember that vampires don’t really exist?
Yet chances are, if I were to be walking through a store and have a chance to sniff these scents, chances are that I would. But I’d only spray it near me in daylight hours, lest I be devoured by a creature of the night.
