Miranda Lambert Lights A Fire, Brad Paisley Falls Down – Today In Country Music History

It was on this date in 2010 that Brad Paisley fell off his stage in South Carolina, Dierks Bently earned his first gold album on this date in 2004 and Miranda Lambert was lighting up the charts with her first gold single in 2006.

  • In the closing notes of his final song, “Alcohol,” Brad Paisley fell off stage at the Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina in 2010. He was treated for bruises at a local hospital.
  • Miranda Lambert nabbed the first gold single of her career with “Kerosene” in 2006.
  • Dierks Bentley collected his first gold album for his self-titled debut in 2004.
  • George Jones and R&B singer Smokey Robinson were among the recipients when George W. Bush presented the National Medal of Arts at the White House in 2003. The award is bestowed by the National Endowment for the Arts.
  • Sara Evans scored her first Number One single with “There’s No Place That Far” in 1999.
  • George Jones was seriously injured when his SUV crashed into a bridge near Franklin, Tennessee, in 1999.
  • Travis Tritt‘s debut album, Country Club, was released in 1990.
