I'll admit it. I've ignored my GPS navigation system. There are times when it's tried to get me to drive blocks out of the way just to cross the street or lead me to someplace that clearly wasn't where I was intending to travel.

When we moved to Wichita Falls, I used the GPS quite a bit because I didn't know the town. I still use it from time to time if it's an address that I'm not familiar with. Even so, I still find that I'm off-course every now and then. Generally speaking, however, it gets me where I need to go.

We've come a long way since the days when a husband and wife would bicker about stopping to get directions. Now those directions are right in the car with us. It doesn't stop men from ignoring those directions, however.

A recent study of 3,000 drivers shows this:

While 83 percent of male drivers regularly rebel against their sat navs, less than three-quarters of women disobey the devices which UK drivers branded as "untrustworthy" and "inaccurate" in the study by insurance retailer Swinton.

83% is a pretty high number in my humble opinion. 83 percent!

Ladies, I think we win on this one. If nothing else, this survey shows that men don't listen.
