In a bold move, restaurants made waves this past summer after a Pittsburg area restaurant banned children under six. Other restaurants across the country followed suit, and were met with applause and jeers. Another eatery is making moves this week when an owner in New Hampshire got fed up with politicians and has banned them!

Jeremy Colby says that for the past few months, he’s been overrun by politicians in his establishment. Along with creating a circus, he says they bring camera crews with them and have been running meet-and-greets.

His solution has been to post a sign stating “No Politicians, No Exceptions.”

It’s a gutsy move for Colby, and I’m wondering if other restaurants in the area will do the same. While a part of me thinks that the crowd would bring in business, another part of me understands that they’re probably camping out and taking up tables, with only a handful of them actually purchasing meals. If the latter is what has been happening, I think he’s making the right decision.

Yet I can’t help but wonder how long it will be before they’re back. Will their teams find a way to weasel back in? I’m going to keep an eye out for this one.
