Little Big Town and their hit "Girl Crush" took home the statue for the second time in their career for Single of the Year.

Steve Martin and Edie Brickell presented the award to the deserving group at the 2015 CMA Awards. The whole quartet took the stage to accept the award for the song that caused quite controversy this past year. Some fans were angered that the song supports a 'gay agenda,' but the country music community took a stance in support of Little Big Town and many artists sported "Girl Crush" hats and shared it via social media.

"This is about being brave and being bold," group member Karen Fairchild said to the crowd. "Country radio thanks for having the guts to play it."

Little Big Town have four other nominations at this year's CMA Awards, including Vocal Group of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year. In addition to a group performance, Karen Fairchild will also perform with Luke Bryan on their duet, "Home Alone Tonight."

Little Big Town's current single is the title track of their nominated album, Pain Killer. That is also the name of their current tour, which will run through the end of the year.

In 2016, they will join Bryan on his Kill the Lights Tour alongside Dustin Lynch. That trek will kick-off in February and will travel across the country through May.
