Keith Urban was here with a brand new album in 2004, Willie Nelson was in trouble with the IRS in 1990 and the Everly Brothers fell asleep back in 1957.

Here's the list for Today In Country Music History for 21 September, 2011.

  • Keith Urban's Be Here album was released in 2004.
  • Darryl Worley earned his first Number One single in Billboard with "I Miss My Friend" in 2002.
  • The Internal Revenue Service placed liens totalling $16.7 million on Willie Nelson's property in 1990 to guarantee that he paid $6.5 million in back taxes.
  • Barbara Mandrell made her acting debut in Burning Rage, a made-for-TV movie, in 1984.
  • Dolly Parton's Greatest Hits album was released in 1982.
  • The Everly Brothers' "Wake Up Little Susie" charted in 1957.

It looks like the Everly Brothers eventually woke up. Here they are in Australia in 1989.
