If you've been on the fence about heading down to the Kemp Center For The Arts to catch Texas music icon Joe Ely's show this week, here's your reminder.

As I mentioned in an earlier post (OK, I did get a little hyperlink-happy in that one), Joe Ely is no Johnny Come Lately to the Texas and Americana scene. His body of work as a solo performer and as part of the Flatlanders spotlights just how incredibly talented this artist is.

If you've never been to the Kemp Center For The Arts, this would be the perfect time. You can scope out the sculpture garden outside, admire the art displays inside, and catch an amazing show all in one evening.

If you haven't been inside the Kemp Center building since you were there as a child checking out library books, you won't believe the transformation! It truly is one of the gems of downtown Wichita Falls.

Here's a sample of what you'll hear from Joe Ely this Thursday night.

Enjoy the show!
