A Burkburnett man is facing at least four separate charges after leading officers from the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office and Burkburnett on a high-speed chase.  21 year-old Cody Linker charged with evading arrest, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and violation of a protective order.

The chase began in Burkburnett shortly before 5 pm Saturday.  Linker failed to stop for Burkburnett police and led officers on a chase across the Oklahoma state line.  OHP officers were waiting for him and Linker turned around and drove back towards Burkburnett.  The 25 minute chase, at times reaching over 100 miles per hour, finally came to an end after Wichita County Sheriff’s deputies deployed spikes to stop the car.

Linker was wanted for violation of probation.  He is being held in the Wichita County Jail.  No bond had been set as of Sunday morning.
