Gus and Pretty Ricky – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
I recently went away for a few days to visit friends and family, and while I was gone, I couldn’t stop thinking about my cats. I had a great time visiting people, but along with photos of my kid, I was also showing the latest pics of my cats. I’ve become the crazy cat lady. My cats are like family to me, and when they walk into a room and walk over to say hi to me, it makes me happy. Say what you want about animals being able to love their owners, I’m convinced they do.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
Also, during the months of July and August, the Humane Society is working with a grant called “Beat the Heat.” It allows people to bring in their pets to get the spayed or neutered for FREE. Pet overpopulation is a real issue, and with this grant, a few more pets can safely be altered, and their owners don’t need to worry about shelling out money. If you’re interested, call 940-723-7387 and ask for the HSWC grant.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Gus is a medium sized, male, young Australian Cattle Dog. One look at this guy and you’re gonna fall in love. He has a lot of energy but also a lot of affection to give, and is a great pet to bring home. He’s heartworm tested and on preventative, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. This guy is waiting to meet you and give your house that little something it’s been missing.
