U.S. Army Entertainment along with Fort Sill’s Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation present the 2011 Army Concert Tour Saturday, July 2nd at the Fort Sill Polo Field with country superstar Miranda Lambert headlining.

The concert, which occurs before Monday’s July 4th celebration, will kick off the Independence Day celebration. The gates open at 6 pm and the show starts at 6:20 pm. Lambert will headline the concert along with special guests Merle Haggard and Stoney LaRue.

The concert is open to the public and tickets are available at Stripes stores in Lawton, Duncan, Altus and Wichita Falls, Crutcher’s Western Wear, Mega Cleaners and online at sillmwr.com. On Fort Sill, tickets are available at the Welcome Center (bldg 4700), Twin Oaks Bowling Center, the Impact Zone and Little Java Cafe. Advanced ticket price is $35 and at the gate $40.

Getting TO THE CONCERT:

All general parking will be on Conklin Field, located south of the Polo Field. Drivers should come on post through Gate 2 off Rogers Lane to access general admission parking.

 According to Lt. Billy Allen, Fort Sill Police Department, Key Gate, off of I-44 will close at noon on July 2. “There will be no entry or exit from the east or west Key Gate after noon. For VIP parking, which will be at the Museum across Sheridan Road from the Polo Field, and handicapped parking, which will be next to the Polo Club, drivers can enter post from Scott Gate (Fort Sill Boulevard), Apache Gate or 52nd Street gate. All traffic exiting the concert will go through Gate 2 or Scott Gate,” he said.
