Eddie Montgomery Breaks His Wrist, Carrie Underwood Does Not Have A Heart Of Gold – Today In Country Music History

Carrie Underwood didn’t have a heart of gold, she had a Heart of triple-platinum on this date in 2006, Eddie Montgomery (Montgomery Gentry) broke his wrist during a show in 2005 and Rascal Flatts made their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2000.

 

  • Jason Aldean earned a gold single for “She’s Country” in 2009.
  • Carrie Underwood‘s debut album, Some Hearts, went triple-platinum in 2006.
  • Eddie Montgomery lost his footing when he stepped on a speaker cabinet during a Montgomery Gentry show in Asheville, North Carolina in 2005. After the concert, X-rays revealed that he had broken his left wrist.
