So, we all know we can't say with certainty exactly what our favorite dinosaurs actually looked like. They were all gone before anyone was around to take a selfie with one. Despite the lack of velociraptor photos, that hasn't stopped generations of kids from playing with toy versions of the Jurassic monsters.

Well, leave it to science to come in and destroy another fine childhood memory. The folks at The Watercooler had Dr. Paul Olsen, a Columbia University professor and researcher at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, come in a tell the truth about of some of these toys. Apparently, our childhood imaginations took a few liberties with the scientific accuracy of these dinosaurs.
