The 5th annual Cowboy True Art Exhibit and Auction gets underway this evening at the J. S. Bridwell Ag Center.  The event premiered in 2012 at the Forum.  The event co-chair, Dan Shores, realized the event would quickly outgrow the venue and it was moved to the Bridwell beginning in 2013.  Admission to view the artwork and meet the artists is free to the public.

This year’s Cowboy True features the work of 60 artists.  Everything from bits, spurs and saddles to paintings and sculptures will be on display.  Twenty juried pieces will be auctioned on Saturday night.  Twenty-five percent of the proceeds will benefit The Forum, with 100 percent of the proceeds from select artworks going to the organization.
