Christopher Columbus was a sex-slaving murderous sociopath  - and quite possibly the inadvertent father of the transatlantic slave trade - and should not have his own federal holiday, according to some.

Columbus did in fact sail the ocean blue in 1492 and discovered a "new world." But it's what he did the years to follow that makes good 'ole Chris Columbus not so worthy of a federal holiday to honor him,  The Oatmeal says.
