Callista’s Hair Helps Newt’s Presidential Campaign

Just when you thought politics couldn't get any stranger along comes Callista Gingrich.

No, she hasn't done anything crazy or scandalous, she just has great hair. At least that's what some people are saying.

In fact, Kellyanne Conway, a pollster and senior strategist for Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign, told the New York Times that Callista has been asked about her hair, quote, "at every stop." She explained, "Men say, 'I love your hair,' women compliment her and then say, 'How do you keep it so perfect?'"

There is even a Facebook page devoted to Callista's hair.

Not everyone loves her "Do" with the swoosh over the left eye, though. Fashion critic Robin Givhan described the bob on The Daily Beast website as being, quote, "eerily flawless" and exuding an "excruciating prissiness." She wrote, "Youthfulness is not her obsession. Control and order are." Conway says Callista has had the look since March 2010, and generally styles it herself in the morning. As for the secret of the Callista bob? The Times spills that it's Kenra Volume Spray 25 hair spray.

Politics. Go figure.
