Students at Wichita Falls High School and Midwestern State University will have the opportunity to learn about C-SPAN’s programs and resources on Wednesday (February 5) when the by C-SPAN Bus tour makes stops in Wichita Falls.

The C-SPAN Bus, now in its 21st year on the road, will be at Wichita Falls High School from 9:30 am to 11 am and at MSU from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm.  The tour is visiting cities, schools and universities across the country, promoting C-SPAN’s educational and political resources for students, teachers and community members along the way.

C-SPAN provides a unique way to experience public affairs through c-span.org, where you can access over 200,000 hours of political and governmental footage dating back to 1987.  As of March 2014, C-SPAN will have aired 35 years of complete coverage of the House of Representatives.

The Bus visits to Wichita Falls are in partnership with Time Warner Cable.  “Time Warner Cable is proud to partner with C-SPAN to bring the C-SPAN Bus to Baylor,” said Kathy Brabson, Area VP of Operations for Time Warner Cable. “We are dedicated to sharing educational opportunities with our community and value the programming and resources that C-SPAN offers.”

You can tune in to C-SPAN’s public affairs programming on the C-SPAN Networks, C-SPAN Radio, and c-span.org. In Wichita Falls, C-SPAN can be seen on Time Warner Cable channels 70, 361 and HD channel 1361.  C-SPAN2 is available on channels 41 and 362 and C-SPAN3 on channel 363.

The winter tour will coincide with the finale of the series’ First Ladies: Influence & Image, which airs every Monday night at 8 pm CST on C-SPAN.
