"Dear MSU Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Emergency services personnel have successfully cleared the Midwestern State University main campus after a significant safety threat was received this morning, which resulted in the campus wide evacuation. As such, the campus will resume regular operations effective 12:15 p.m. Please note the following important information concerning final examinations:

*The scheduled 1 p.m. final examination today will occur as planned.

*The 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. final examination canceled due to the campus evacuation has been rescheduled for 8-10 p.m. Thursday, December 11.

*Students should consult their individual professor if any examinations during the 8-10 a.m. period this morning were unfinished at the time the evacuation was announced.

The Mesquite Dining Hall will have multiple to-go options for any meal plan holders or other students desiring a quick grab-and-go option. The Dining Hall is also open for continual service through 7 p.m. this evening. News Talk 1290 has received reports from students of a possible bomb threat on the Midwestern State University Campus.

A similar threat was made at about the same time last year.  That threat turned out to be a hoax.  Both campus police and the WFPD will continue to investigate.
