Cody Jasper stopped by the Blake FM studios Friday afternoon to talk with Drew and  play some music for this new Blake Backstage video. It was Cody's first trip to Wichita Falls and he was excited to bring his blend of country, rock and roll, blues, and southern rock to the Iron Horse Pub.

Cody was born and raised in Amarillo, but calls Austin home now. As all Texans know, "It don't matter who's in Austin, Bob Wills is still the king." Cody actually brings a little piece of the Texas music legend to the stage with him every night. Check out the interview for the story of the 1959 Epiphone amp that belonged to Cody's great-grandfather, who played guitar for Bob Wills.

Cody released his self-titled album in early 2014 and says that there's plans to start recording a follow up in the very near future. The next few months involve a European tour and getting into the studio to record his next album.

Cody brought in his steel guitar player, JT Holt for a Blake Backstage exclusive performance of his song 'Holy Water' before heading to the Iron Horse for the show. You can find out more about Cody and hear more of his tunes at CodyJasper.com.
