ERCOT Issues Alert Over High Consumption

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has initiated Energy Emergency Level 1 Alert due to operating reserves dropping below 2,300 megawatts.  ERCOT operators are monitoring the situation and are asking Texas residents to reduce electric consumption where possible through 7 pm today.

Wildfires Continue To Burn In Jack, Clay Counties

Jack County officials continue to battle a fire that has ravaged hundreds of acres since Saturday in the north-eastern part of the county.  A Single Engine Air Tanker and helicopter from the Texas Forest Service were on the scene today helping firefighters on the ground as they try to gain control of the blaze.
