Forbes magazine has compiled their list of the ten highest paid actors on television, or what can also be called the “CBS Pays Their Actors Too Much” list.

What is shocking here is that while a show like Two and a Half Men doesn’t have the viewership other shows on this list do, its four past and present stars all made the list, with the two current leads taking the #1 and #2 spots.  Aston Kutcher reportedly brought in $24 million while Jon Cryer’s pay day was closer to $21 million.  11.6 million viewers tuned in to see the season premiere of Two and a Half Men, less than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and almost 10 million less than NCIS, which is still the most viewed scripted show on TV and whose star tied for the number 4 spot.  So what criteria did Forbes use to compile its list?  According to its website,

To compile our list we talked to producers, managers, agents and other in-the-know folks to come up with estimates for how much each actor earned from entertainment-related endeavors between June 2012 and June 2013. We do not subtract for taxes, agent expenses or the other costs of being a celebrity. The research was conducted for our Celebrity 100 list.

Now keep in mind, they take into account revenue from syndication, allowing for actors to be on the list for shows long since off the air.

Ashton Kutcher – $24 million

Jon Cryer – $21 million

Ray Romano – $16 million

Neil Patrick Harris – $15 million

Mark Harmon – $15 million

Patrick Dempsey – $13 million

Tim Allen – $11 million

Angus T. Jones – $11 million

Michael C. Hall – $10 million

Charlie Sheen – $10 million
