If you continued watching the coverage of the Super Bowl after the game ended, you got to see something pretty interesting during the press conference. During the interview with the games MVP, Malcolm Smith, a man rushed the stage, grabbed the mic, and said, "Investiage 9/11. 9/11 was perpetrated by people within our own government."

Malcom Smith handled it pretty well, even making a joke to "check his press pass."  Well, they did check his press pass and it was non existent. It turns out the man was a 30 year old independent journalist named Matthew Mills who had found a way to sneak in.

In an interview with NJ.com, Mills told how he used a press pass from a completely different event to get past security and get on an employee bus. Every time someone would ask to see or scan his credentials, he would say he was "running late for work" and that he "had to get in there."

It's pretty amazing to think that at one of the biggest events in the nation, this guy was able to bypass security and make it to the mic and in front of all the live cameras.  I'm willing to bet there's some security people who got in a lot of trouble for that one.

After being escorted out of the room, Mills was charged with criminal trespassing by the New Jersey State Police.  Whether you agree with the message he said or not, it's sill pretty amazing to think that some random dude was able to make it past all that security. But I have to say, sorry Matthew, Kanye West still had the best interruption of all time.
