Every now and then it's nice to get out of Wichita Falls, even if just for an evening. One quick and easy getaway is Archer City, just 30 minutes South of town on Highway 79.

And this weekend would be the perfect time, because it's your last chance to see the Royal Theater production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

Directed and produced by Greg Pollock, the cast features Shasta Blair as Blanche, Bill Hammack as Stanley, Meg Nester as Stella, David Conrady as Mitch, Sheila Hare as Eunice, Brandon Blair as Steve, Greg Pollock as Mr Gonzalez, Charlotte Westerfield as the Nurse and Gary Beesinger as the Doctor.

This is not a comedy, this is serious theater that will have you thinking about your own life and those of your friends on the drive home. The Theater actors do an amazing job of bringing Tennessee Williams' play to life and put an enormous amount of energy and emotion into each show. If you're a fan of live theater, this is a show you don't want to miss. You've got one more weekend to catch it.

To add to the "Get Out Of Town" feeling, why not head out early in the afternoon and spend some time browsing through the antique shops and book stores that make up a large part of downtown Archer City, then grab a bite to eat at the Iron Trail Steakhouse. You'll want a reservation for dinner, so call them now at 940.574.2447.
