When Denise Doorlag and her family got Zeus, they figured the Great Dane would get big. Chances are they didn’t expect him to get as big as he is.

Zeus holds the title of World’s Tallest Dog. At 44” tall and 155 pounds, this 3-year-old knows how to get attention when he walks into a room. When he stands on his hind legs he’s 7 feet 4 inches; imagine that greeting after coming home from the office.

The Doorlag family knows what Zeus likes and accommodate him where they can. The dog likes to drink from the faucet in the sink, so they allow it. He was uncomfortable in a regular car so the family got a van to tote him around, and they purchase about 60 pounds of dog food every month to keep him fed. The mammoth dog even sleeps in their bed at night, making me wonder if there’s any room left for the cat.

While Zeus seems like a pretty awesome pooch, I think I’ll stick to cats.
